I’m going to make some changes to the substack. In between longer profiles I want to share a lot more from the archive of old articles, profiles, and books. These will be individual pieces with a little commentary. I imagine these shorter pieces to be part of an ongoing process of (re-)discovering timeless ideas together. Bill Ackman and his partner Bruce Berkowitz started their hedge fund Gotham Partners in March 1993, with $3 million in AUM fresh out of Harvard Business School. About a year later, they already managed to get some top notch PR in the Washington Post: The Rookies’ Big Score, 1994.
